Badcat has Corsairs in
I just got my notiification from Badcat that my Marines Dream is in and will be sent in 3 to 4 days. I can't wait to see it.
Japs
They have the Japanese too. I wonder if they have the Paras - I'd hate to order twice

I just saw the BBI Corsair up close and personal and I have to say it but it looks very very nice! AND the wings would work with my Kepford Corsair with little or no trouble. But the question is would I want to ruin such a nice looking Corsair? If and when I get it I will have to think about that.
That being said BBI's F4U looks very well done and looks very nice. A definate must have for the 1/18th collector such as myself.
And here I had said that I was all done collecting 2 of the same aircraft.

Corsair
Not this version - it's not a real paint scheme! We know there will be repaints and at $40 they will be worth it, but I'm not into air show birdsA definate must have for the 1/18th collector such as myself.

Especially with the new 21st Corsair coming with ground crew

Yes Digger its not the correct paint scheme and all that jazz but it is still a good looking Corsair none the less. No gun bays? Neither did the 21st version, No engine access? Neither did the 21st version. Working flaps? BBI has it 21st dont, detailed cockpit? 21st's weak, BBI's very very good. I could keep making comparisons but I wont because its not really worth getting into. The bottom line is is I like it and thats all that matters in the end. As for the accessories? Hell I can order accessories and make a good diorama scene myself.

I talked to Matt at BCT and I asked him about the paint scheme. He mentioned that he took no part of the selection. bbi kicked out the Corsair as painted and didn't ask for input from BCA. A big goof in my opinion. I'm sure BCT would of thought up of a real cool and accurate paint scheme. They always do.....
That didn't hold me from getting 2 on pre-order. I am truly a Corsair junkie.....

Fake Scheme?
MM, I didn't mean to set you off
I'm just saying you may want to wait for later repaint that is historically accurate - I know sometimes you care about that (and I guess sometimes no).
If you don't have a Spitfire I would get that before a 2d Corsair, but I'm not going to tell another man how to play with his toys

I too like a historically accurate aircraft but I have seen this plane up close and personal in real life. I like having it and the photographs that I took of the real bird at the Dayton air show last year and the Lunkin air show last year. As for a historically accurate paint scheme this it isn’t but it’s still a great bird. I love the little extra attention to detail they gave to it even if the landing gear leaves a little to be desired.
