Excuse to redecorate 18th AC displays
Our new neighbor tore off a bunch of 1x4s about 7-8 ft long while remodeling the home next door. They were part of an old enclosed patio overlooking the pool. Anyway, I'm a sucker for good old wood whenever it ends up on the curb/dumpster- so I carried a bunch to the basement, you never know when you wanna make something. SO, I cut the bottom of several at a slight backwards slant, supported the bottom and sides, and can hang 4 AC top to bottom in a row on the thin edge. I've gotten bored with hanging them 5 deep with curtain thread from the ceiling. My cannon powershot A560 suddenly tells me it cannot connect to my computer, so no pics- but I'll make some more anyway
After making 4 of these stands and a little more work tonight, I finally realized how freaking pointless this is - hanging from the joists, I can hang em down to the floor if I want....I've untangled the lines and rehung them- Don't even think this is a good idea- leave em hanging unless you have a grand ballroom for a basement..
