BBI F6 Hellcat Assembly/Tear Down

Post by MCalamari » Sat Sep 19, 2009 4:20 pm

How easy is it to take apart the BBI F6 once you've put it together?

I like assembling planes, but rotate which ones are on display. The Hellcat looks as though once I snap it together that it won't fit back in its BBI box.

Thanks,
-M

Had a heck of a time getting them wings together. Deffinetly easier taking a part than putting together. Other than the droopy wings and lack of stability with the main landing gears there a very nicely detailed model.

I put my Cat Mouth together this weekend ... you're right, it was kinda a bear to get the wings in place.

My wings aren't droopy, but the landing gear are driving me nuts! :(

Though the plane looked great next to one of my Lost Squadron Avengers.

Well, don't do what I did-- I shaved a little bit off the wing spars, supports, whatever... that pushes into the fusilage on my 1st hellcat, so the gear would not break when raising or lowering. This lessened the chance of them breaking, but made the gear hang down a little when in the up position- I gave this one away and bought another. To raise and lower the gear, just remove the wings to do it....
