I can put one up later tonight - my wife has our camera with her at work.

There was one Panzer III long barrel I mentioned earlier in the thread, it had the green squiggle over tan camo that went for $60.

I don't think I have that one, never seen it in the wild when they were out either. :?

[+] Pz.III Ausf. L "Eastern Front"

Post by MG-42 » Wed Sep 16, 2009 8:11 pm

[+] > The 21st. C , Pz.III-L "Eastern Front" , has the tactical numerals 133 outlined and painted in white on the back of the stowage bin.

........ there are no numbers painted on the sides of the turret however as PanzerArm's pic , depicts.

................. sorry , no pics ! ! ! *

As promised:

Mine has a metal upper hull, came with two figures and was in a Motorworks box. What's funny is the pic of the tank on the box is marked #133 on the turret SIDES, while mine has #133 on the bin on the REAR of the turret.

Actually, there are a number of differences... The pic PanzerArm posted looks like the pic on my box so compare that with mine and you will see what I'm talking about.

[+] > That'd be the one in question. Wished you'da shown the tactical #'s 133 on the back of the stowage bin though.

........... but Thanks anyways [CAT] ! * 8)

* Apparently , this was a WAL* MART Exclusive , cause mine came in a MotorWorks box too. ... "I still have it somewhere".

Edit :
.......... The pics of the tank on the ends of the box shows the turret turned to the rear , towards the engine for some odd reason but w/ the #'s 133 on the side of the turret , as [CAT] described.

* I'm unaware IF this tank also , if exists , was produced in their own 21st.C "ColdSteel" box.

Thanks for the pics! That makes an even six for the 32x Panzer III, three of each type. I like that paintscheme on the Panzer IIIL too 8)

However, given that it was a Wal Mart exclusive probably explains why I never saw one. Especially back in the early Motorworks days, the distribution of all 21c items was spotty and my area Wal Marts were notoriously inept at getting in anything. I only recall ever seeing the DAK Panzer IIID, DAK Panzer IIIL and the model kit at my local Wal Marts.

Here's that rear shot - the numbers were a bit light so it was hard to get a clear pic:
