A "finished prototype" and the molds being tooled up are two completely different things... Just seeing it doesn't mean much. You have to have seen an actual production piece (or be told by someone within the process of manufacturing) to know something was actually tooled and exists...
Some Star Wars figures at shows are clearly painted prototypes, some cast in resin... Doesn't mean the figures toolings exist yet, it just means they're likely coming.
There was debate on the final waves of Indiana JOnes figures being tooled up or not, and then some hard copies turned up out of China and that answered the questions that basically they had been tooled but the line died off too fast and Hasbro didn't feel a need to invest in putting them out in any capacity.
So I still debate if the KT exists in any form other than prototype... There could be one, maybe 3, maybe a couple more "in-house" prototypes and nothing more of it... It could be tooled too, but again I feel that would've been something 21st would've wanted to unload quickly, and anyone buying would want to buy first I would think.
We saw those weird variants of tanks and hanomags and whatnot from JSI... I doubt any of them have mold toolings done though, despite seeing hand-painted versions of them at shows.
I guess that leaves me in the, "I'll believe a KT has been tooled and exists as a sellable toy, when I finally see it being sold".
