Anyone like Marushin?

The WWII Japanese Zero fighters look great and apparently these are diecast kits that need to be assembled but from what i`ve read very easy to do. Anyone have one of these and if so,are the really easy to assemble?

I have 13 Marushin fighters and I absolutely love them! Some of the models are harder to assemble than others but they build into nice planes not represented by anyone else. Here are some pics of my Marushin cabinet. Most of the Japanese planes are Marushin with a few 21st planes and Carousel mixed in.

AWESOME hworth18!!!!! I`m looking at the A6M2 Zero. I`ve read most pieces just snap into place plus a couple of screws. Is any kind of glue necessary at all and if so what kind?

The main wings are held on by screws, but the rear stabilizers are tabbed and slide into slots. Sometimes, these slots are loose and require a dab of CA glue (superglue), but I haven't had any problems with the Zeros. The A6M2 should go together just fine and it is one of the only models that actually has retracting gear. The only drawbacks to these are that the cockpits are very basic with nothing but a seat/stick and instrument panel. The A6M2 and A6M3 have working gear, the A6M5 has plug-in gear.

Very nice display cabinet hworth18.

I don't have any,but I understand that they are quite heavy.And have some cockpit,canopy issues.

However,the people that have them,give them very good reviews.
