CHECKER TAIL P-47

I have a couple questions about the checker tail P-47 that came with the nose art. Were these sold only at hobby shops? How rare are they? Has anyone noticed any selling lately and at what kind of price?

There is one for 175.00!! at Vlads MIB; I just got a Vex decal from BCA, applied it to my walmart special and hung mine-

My checkertail was bought at Walmart, and did not have the nose emblem. I think it was one of those stupid political sensitive issues. The one my uncle got from Badcat did have one, and it sure adds a lot to the allready cool looking plane.
