Figures for 1/144 scale

Post by Philip » Tue Jul 26, 2005 9:51 am

I am doing a diorama scene depicting The Battle of the Bulge. It will be King Tigers going through a narrow road in the Ardennes. I will use Dragons 1/144 tanks. Does anyone know if there are any figures available? I know that this scale figures come with the Dragon Railgun. I have one of those. If they are not available, I guess I could buy another railgun and use the figures from it. Does anyone know if 1/144 scale figures are available separately? Thanks

Panzer Place is a very reliable, dependable and honest dealer who I would readily recommend. For the record I have no fiscal relationship and this is a totally unsolicited reccommendation. In fact on eBay he is a rival seller....

I concur - 'Panzer Place Store' is a really good individual to deal with - I have bought items from him many, many times and the service has been very good.

FYI - beware. Once you start with the CGD Diorama items (especially the 1/144th scale scenes), you can stop.

Sorry - apologies.

I mean't 'you can't stop' .... the dioramas and figures
are quite well-done and detailed.

What do you guys know about Metal Troops Creation. I saw their tanks, 1/144 and they were very nice, but pricey....$25.00 each. For diorama purposes, I'm sticking with the Cando 1/144, which to me look wonderful. By the way, I did find some vendors that still have the Tiger and King Tiger, Winter Camo, at $3.99 each. If anyone would like to know where, let me know. The winter camo is hard to find. Stratton's has the Tiger I for $9.00, and the KT, winter, is illusive.

I got MINIFIGS N scale infantry, they work great.

I bought a bunch of minifigs infantry. They are in N scale 1:160 but are so close to 1:144 that you cant tell the difference. I got packs of about 20 infantry for $5:00 on ebay. I bought some CGD artillery crewmen for some of my WTM 1:144 Anti Tank Guns and they look good but are really expensive and the paint jobs were no better than I could do myself. They seemed to be just about the same size as the Minifigs. Minifigs are Lead / pewter and unpainted but You can get alot for your money. CGD wants like $30 bucks for about a squads worth. I think they are way too high priced.
