Admiral toys question

Post by skyraider » Fri Jul 31, 2009 9:44 pm

Is Admiral toys still in business? Their website is a mess, with no detail about much of anything, and it has been that way a long time. Just wondering if they had called it quits?

Last I heard they were still going to produce some planes but I think the timeline is not set.

i think they are in name only. Probably have no cash to get moving on any projects; maybe some day they'll get back in production again.

When Jason posted on the Admiral Mosquito, he stated that Admiral was in negotiations with several other companies and couldn't disclose any details.

I would like to know as well. I still have 2 Dauntlesses (spelling?) paid for through Military Toy Shop. I placed the order in early 2007  . I have emailed Military Toy Shop twice within the last two weeks regarding Admiral and whether they are going to release the Dauntless but they have not responded. If Admiral is not releasing any aircraft I would like to use that cash towards some other aircraft. I'm a patient guy, but this is starting to test my nerves.

Maybe we haven't seen jack from anybody, and what killed 21st was all that lead paint and toy recalls. Just a shot in the dark, but if you think about it there has not been really nothin from anybody since. ....hmmmm

I have to admit, I'm losing faith in Admiral and I really like the company. It just seems like there are too many promises of things to come yet no real meat in when things are going to be delivered. Like most others here I've had a dauntless on Pre-Order for ages. I think I'm going to cancel my order now so I can buy the JSI F-14 instead.

I think you maybe on to something
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I'm not upset or disappointed with Admiral. I'm in no rush, and would be kicking myself if there were too many things I wanted to buy but couldn't.

The Dauntless, Mosquito, and F-86 repaints are good ideas, and will still be good ideas whenever they happen.
