1: In this photo I had already masked off the canopy and gun bay areas. I then had painted some of the detail parts like the nose and top of the tail. Then those areas were masked off and then a final primer coat was sprayed. At the point I had already designed and cut the vinyl mask for the large hawk graphics. I have applied this area over the top of a white painted field.

2: In this photo I have just sprayed the first coat of bright red paint over the vinyl mask.

3: Here I have finished painting the second coat of dull red and I have removed the extra masking tape from around the black vinyl stencil which protects the white color underneath and when peeled away will reveal the finished red and white hawk design.

4: In this photo the red paint had dried overnight and I had peeled away the vinyl stencil. With the famous hawks now painted and complete I had then masked these areas once again so that I could paint the overall gold color and then let it dry.
