I don't take photos of my stuff outside except on our balcony.
Anyway, friends are enjoying my collection and customs and three of them have started collecting 1/18 airplanes and tanks. Even my dad has bought some planes.

So my 1/18 collection is my pride and joy as my 1/6 one.

I have taken photos of some 1/18 diecast cars and 1/32 scale models on my apartment balcony a few times. A couple of times as I finished my set up, I spotted a neighbor watching from their balcony. They usually had a bemused look on their face. Another time someone drove into the parking area below me and was rubber necking to see what I was doing with a tripod and camera. I would never leave anything in the apartment yard unattended even to go up to my balcony for a aircraft view of my troops. It wouldn't be there when I got back.

i'm not too worried about someone walking off with one of my trucks. It's a somewhat secluded area and i don't think anyone would take it. Besides if they do i can just pick them off with my rifle from the balcony. (j/k)
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

This made me laugh out loud! :)

Work has been really difficult (busy ... the work itself is fun), but I really find taking my stuff out back and clicking my camera makes me feel much better.

[quote="tmanthegreat ....I also once took my 1:18 scale RC tanks over to the house of some elementary school age students that I tutored as part of a previous part-time job as an academic tutor. I figured they would get a kick out of playing with the tanks after their lesson. They and their mom (a wealthy doctor) were fascinated by them [/quote]

Wow, tman, are you say'n you used your XD to seduce a MILF?

Someone's mind is in the gutter...

No, it was part of my old job, sort of a special deal as I tutored most of my students at an academic center. The doctor was my the boss of my boss' wife (if that makes any sense). These kids were wealthy beyond belief and spoiled to no end and for the most part turned out to be assholes - not the mom, but the kids. I've long sense stopped working for them.

Besides, I tend to prefer seducing girls around my own 25-30 age group with XD

Go to an industrial club. Rivet Chicks dig armor, even if it is scale. ;)

Only somewhat related ... a few years ago I was a Feindflug show (part of WGT) in Leipzig Germany where their stage dressing was sandbags and a large machine gun (I'm not a gun guy so I could only tell you that it was real stuff). The band came out in Wehrmacht (?) looking uniforms and guitars and whatnot.
