I received this today 7.11.05, in regards to our deal

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My home computer is down, and I have to use the clubhouse one and it's only available during business hours. I'm shipping EVERYONE's stuff throughout this week. I know it's taken a long time, but I'm also working full time as well. It'll get to you. I promise. Thanks
Andrew

Still nothing and haven't received a tracking number as I was told I would on Monday and it's Thursday now. I think this guys is waiting to sell all of his items and then ship them out. I wonder if he realizes the reputation he is getting by doing this. Especially on this board where he is trying to sell the items.

Re: 1/18 XD Planes for Sale! Updated!!!
I received my order on 07-21-05 after sending a check on JUNE 10. The 109 had a broken tail, broken antenna, and also the forward cockpit area was detached. Not to mention the scratches all over the top wing area.Flip wrote:Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted here. I've decided to give up my plane collection to go into Airsoft. So, here is a list of the planes that I'm offering:

P-47 Jabo w/bomb racks added $30

Please e-mai me at Ayrkota126@aol.com.

Andrew
The only good thing that came out of this deal was the P-51 Killer. What a great model that is. Would I deal with Flip again? Absolutely not!

Mike, You're as ! That was totally unnecessary! My home number is not, I repeat NOT for public listing. I've mailed everybodys items out as of yesterday. EVERYONE should get their items by Saturday at the latest. Please edit your post, and remove my home number. If I get any harassing phone calls, I'll be seeing you in court!!

The only reason that I posted the phone number was because there were several buyers that hadn't received there items are a considerable time period and hadn't received any e-mails from you. I was simply giving them another way to contact you. I have been scammed by other sellers before too (not on this site), and I would have liked if someone could of helped me out with those sellers.

To all:
I received my 2 planes from Flip at my door today:
Spitfire condition: pretty good with only one small gash on the wing.
FW190 condition: a few broken pieces (bomb and ladder) and some scratching on the wing.
I appreciate that Flip did finally follow through with the transactions he made with us, but maybe from now on we should require newer members to post pics of the items they are selling to give us a better ideal the condition of the item we are buying??
Any thoughts on this??

I agree with der Vogelfanger that past dealings with an individual should be adequate in deciding whether to engage in a deal, however, if the seller is willing to provide pictures of the items for sale, it would inspire more confidence in the transaction. At the very least, if an item for sale is not in perfect condition, I think the seller is obligated to mention any flaws in the item's description.

Just as a general rule, if you engage in trades with multiple people in a forum and do not hold up your end of the bargain in a reasonable (or more than resonable) amount of time, DO NOT be surprised if someone posts your phone number.
My good trader/reference list:
Razor17019, raiderad6, nomo4me, SGT Fury, don, JOC, DIGGER, immeww2.
Razor17019, raiderad6, nomo4me, SGT Fury, don, JOC, DIGGER, immeww2.
Well, posting someones phone number WITHOUT their permission, is an invasion of privacy!! And, it's against the law! I was personally e-mailed, and lied to by Compfire when he stated to me that he needed my number so he could discuss another possible trade. So, I gave it to him. Now, With that in mind, would you, or would you not be upset that YOUR home number was then posted on the internet for all to see. Without the other person having full detail about the trade/sale situation? This situation has been solved, I do freely admit that I took way too long to get the items out, but, if you're getting planes at near shipping prices only, would you complain to much, well, I guess the members of this board would. So, with that in mind, I'll be done with this site, and all the members here. Sorry, but life is not about 1/18 toys only.
Sincerely, and with regets,
Andrew

Close it down.
Well, if Flip has sent everyone what they bought from him and he's been paid for the items, I'd say we just close this one down and move on with experience gained and lessons learned.

Well said.
I cannot expect not to be over charged for shipping though. Some folks might want some extra $$$ for their leg work, gas, and time etc but they'd need to mention that up front before I'd commit to a deal.
The members that I've dealt with here have either rounded the shipping down by even a few bucks to not charging me for postage at all. In return, I'd do the same thing for them if and when they wanted something that was in my AO. It's that "universal law" thing.
I kind of look at this forum like a "brotherhood". Be honest and fair with eachother and you should receive that in return. But still be wary of the occasional new member that might be like DeltaForce.
