Greetings
After seeing the Snowbirds this weekend, talking to the team and getting an up close look at the CT-114 Tutor they fly, I got to thinking it would have been a great 1/18 scale aircraft. It was small, had an attractive paint scheme and is a simple design. I am sure it could have been reproduced easily. The drawback would have been the CT-114 is/was exclusive to Canada. Although it would have sold well in Canada and among airshow enthuasists, I don't know how popular it would have been in the general public.
For those that don't know, this is a CT-114 Tutor in the Snowbirds color scheme.
I would love one in 1/18. Any of our customizers want to try to make this one? I'll gladly buy two!

Happy Canada Day
There are continuing rumours that the Snowbirds might fall prey to the budget axe.
The are old, were recently grounded due to problems with their ejection seats, and need to be replaced.
They fly a 9 plane formation, and put on an impressive, and graceful display. Are flying today at the nations capitol, for Canada Day.
The only real replacement available are the BaE Hawk. However it seems like the Federal Gov't is unwilling to spend the money on getting about a dozen extra to supply the Snowbirds.
Would be a real shame, and embarresment,if our national display team was grounded, purely because of money.
It would make a nice model, but I think that it would have limited appeal.

Yea if the A-37 was done then it would be a lot easier to do the Tutor. I love my country and the pilots that fly them, but the Tutor should have been replaced 20 years ago and now we have pilots not dying from manoeuvres but from aircraft problems. Anyways their isn't enough interest to do it in 1/72 let alone 1/18. It would be cool to see but I won't hold my breath. As a side note the Royal Malaysian Air Force bought and used them for COIN warfare in 1966 and replaced in 1986 haha.
