um, yeah, I'm definitely not whingeing about this. I'm glad that JSI is keeping the scale alive and I do think the repaint is a really nice choice. I completely understand if they need to re-use the same exact mold as the previous versions in order to raise some initial capital. It just kinda feels like more of the "meet the new boss..." with them showing something new and cool at toy fair and then the actual release is the same old thing we've already seen for the past 8 years.
A new version like they showed at toy fair and I'd have snagged at least two of them. As it is I've got about ten of the 21st version I can re-paint so it's a non-buy for me. The new jets are amazing, if that's your interest. I'm pretty much strictly groundpounder WWII stuff though so I was really excited to get something new. I'm really really keeping my fingers crossed that they produce the Sherman Calliope they showed.

For an "emerging" company, I think it's ok. Say that again in a few years when we're still getting tigers and I'll agree with you.digger wrote:If only we gave 21C the same leeway..pickelhaube wrote:I like the repaint. They are trying to make money with the original moulds. Let them.
I am in for one or two.

I have to agree with cent-one. I have enough Tigers that I can repaint myself. I understand why those without the inclination to do repaints themselves will buy one even though its no different from the original 21st molds. And if they are having to raise initial capital, they shouldn't have resurected the line to begin with. If they are releasing mostly repaints to raise capital, they are in trouble already.
