BBI hellcat Vraciu and ME262 for sale on military issue.com
BBI hellcat Vraciu and ME262 for sale on military issue.com
Just letting ya know i get a catalog from militaryissue.com and found the hellcat for sale 29.95 + 7.95 shipping also the same for the ME262 White 7 for the same price. I ordered the hellcat(one i haven't picked up yet). I thought the price was sweet. On the website the hellcat is part # 99111c and me262 is 95504n. Pretty cool catalog to boot. Some items are pricey but it is another source to gander at. Not alot of 1/18 but there a bit of other scales too.

I think they are related to Historic Aviation here in MN. They have the same sale going on and also have a few other 1/18 scale planes at a decent price. They are only about 15 minutes away from me and I plan to pick something up soon.rogue29 wrote:Just letting ya know i get a catalog from militaryissue.com and found the hellcat for sale 29.95 + 7.95 shipping also the same for the ME262 White 7 for the same price. My Hellcat arrived last week.
Great looking plane!
I finally took it out of the box tonight.
It's assembled, but... the landing gear does not fully extend into a locked position.
Anyone else have a similar issue?

The landing gear have to be pushed-forced past the wing spar to lock into place. I guess depending on the plane, this could be a tedious process maybe resulting in a broken gear. I got paranoid and would just remove the wing assy to raise and lower the gear-which was not often
Problem solved....
I applied pressure to the wing spar with a flat head screw driver while moving the landing gear forward into it's locked position.
I took great care not to snap the gear off in the process.
By the way... Where can I find rockets for the wings? The instructions said they were sold separately?!?

Is there a mount for the rockets or holes under the wing where they would fit?RAD 2112 wrote:Problem solved....

I wonder if the Corsair rockets would fit on the Hellcat?
Yes, there are holes on the underside of the wings.Razor17019 wrote: Is there a mount for the rockets or holes under the wing where they would fit?

So I tell my friend about this deal. He gets the Hellcat and the AT 262.
Then he gets on one of those buying sprees and got two 21st Century Yellow-7 Me-262's from a guy in Hong Kong, and gives me one of them in appreciation.
So thanks for the heads up on this, it turned out well for me. I finally have a Yellow-7 now.

.
I got my white 7 and Vraciu yesterday and guess what?? the hellcat had a glued wheel assy which would not rotate- I gingerly broke it while trying to free it up, the 262's canopy was glued on one side and would not open- I fixed that and it wants to fall back on it's tail while on a level surface- I guess some of my daughters old playdo stuffed in the nose will fix that.
None of this is Millitary Issues fault, but damn!! this is supposed to happen to someone else, not me-
