I think it is already having an effect on prices
I was able to snag a Wolfpack F-16 on ebay for a little over $200 the other day, I considered that decent.
Love the F-15 in the Israel scheme!

Holy hell, I have been out of the loop for what? Two months? THIS HAPPENS?!
I knew 21C was gone, but hot damn a whole new set, the HUEY is back, F-15 AND F-14, AND RE-ISSUING THE F-104?!!
I DON'T THINK MY HEART HAS STOPPED LIKE THAT BEFORE... I almost cried man, it's like the most beautiful thing to hit my ears and eyes since Pink Floyd... I have the money... =P
I cannot wait, I am eager as all hell... someone assure me this is not a joke. Does anyone know if we will see these in stores or just online? I am so excited I can't comprehend where I'm going to put all of these...
I now believe... there is a God.

Heck yeah, I'm just glad that all is not lost in pre-built land. I just hope they pull through, and are able to take off. I wish them great success. After losing Action Series FOV and 21st across the board, I'm glad that at least the 1/18 molds are being used. I hope they pump out some new paint too. But for now I think they just need to get off the ground, and going with a knock-'em-dead combo of an F-14 and an F-15, they should be able to get in the game.Tinman wrote:Hey, Alloy, wondered what happened to you. Great about JSI, huh!?
I'm anxious about these two, mostly the F-14 and the Su-27. Although the idea that I might be paying $300 for each in a limited run is a bit much to swallow, it is something I want badly, and I have the means to get a couple over time.
I hope all the features they list are on the final version, then I would gladly put out money for that large/complex a piece. The paint masters look promising: The crisp paint and the weathering look great. I'm also excited about the IDF paint on the F-15. I have a big thing for foreign operators, and having a non-US bird on a first run is exciting, especially the Su-27, which hopefully will have a Russian scheme.
I'm glad that a company capable of producing new molds of such magnitude was able to acquire the 21st molds. Hopefully the re-issued planes and armor won't be priced anywhere in the same ballpark as the brand new stuff. It seems reasonable to assume such, as making the mold is one of the more expensive processes. I hope I can get my hands on a re-issued Huey. I hope they get the Cobra molds as well, I need more 1/18 helicopters to accompany my Apache. (Which I'm glad I bought when I did!)

Man I've missed a lot! With 21C gone I guess I have to grab all the VN guys I can! So glad to hear the huey is back! Good to see the Patton sticking around. Wish the Mutt jeeps were the gun jeeps as neither mutt listed saw action in Vietnam and with any luck we'll see M113's with interior. If this all happens I'll finally reach your level of crazy collecting

i can't believe that JSI is going to redo the series one germans with the terrible articulation. i really don't see anything in there line up that i'm really excited about. everything is just repaints. the tiger paint scheme looks good. i'd prob maybe get a jet cause i don't have one. why don't they do a grey 88. or make another mold of a jeep and kubelwagen. i never got a jeep in my collection. i couldn't care for another 109 or any other plane. really dispointed on this company.

I couldn’t agree more. Without JSI on the horizon there would be nothing, not even re-paints. Re-paints are great for building up air forces and armies alike. Sure, everyone would like a new plane or a new tank that hasn’t been done before but at times like this, when the largest supplier of 1/18th just bit the big one, I would say its time to be happy or change hobbies. 1:48th and 1:32nd scales seem to still have decent offerings. When 21c first started to crap out I started working on my 1:48 Armour collection. There are still tons of other things out there to spend money on. I use my love for 1:18th as a backup now. If it shows up, great, if not then so be it.flyboy_fx wrote:Fitzystigertank wrote:i can't believe that JSI is going to redo the series one germans with the terrible articulation. i really don't see anything in there line up that i'm really excited about. everything is just repaints. the tiger paint scheme looks good. i'd prob maybe get a jet cause i don't have one. why don't they do a grey 88. or make another mold of a jeep and kubelwagen. i never got a jeep in my collection. i couldn't care for another 109 or any other plane. really dispointed on this company.

Yuh. Plus having JSI will introduce new collectors into the hobby. Let the baby boomers haggle amongst themselves over $200 P-38's
(Ed - almost like the housing market really, does this mean XD prices will actually plummet. I can see it now "Mortgagee sale - can no longer afford payments on my MIB Me-109")
Plus, Admiral Toys is still in the running.
