JSI P-38 Name Change
Hello All,
Looks as though information regarding this line seems to be in a state of flux. According to the distributor's site, the P-38 is now called Putt Putt Maru, which was flown by Charles MacDonald, who purportedly is still alive. Who knows, maybe he could be asked to sign a few of these planes.

Hardest to get are Haleakala II and Louise (shark). Louise started out as a QVC exclusive in Dec of 03 but later on 21st ran them again for general sale...imagine that. Haleakala is purportedly the hardest one to find and generally the most expensive. PPM was ran twice (demand perhaps), maybe why they're going with this one now?Dauntless wrote:Was this the one that was S2 and the hardest to get?
Think I like this scheme better than "Pudgy"

Well, I won't bore you with which 2 P-38s I have already but guess which ones I don't want to see re-released...let's just keep thinking of ourselves...

Greetings
I'm disappointed it will not be Pudgy. I would have ordered one had it been Pudgy. Living very close to McGuire AFB I have fond memories of the memorial at the base to him. I always liked that scheme as well.

Me personally, Im glad its now the Putt Putt Maru. I already have the Pudgy, now I can finally get this one without having to sell a kidney. I already sold one for the Bunker Hill Avenger, so now that Im down to one, I have to be more discerning before I sell the last one and take to the machine!
"I can stop collecting 1:18 scale anytime, really I can. OOoh, the new Stuka re-paint! I don't have that one.
it's the same reason I had to have one - growing up on south Jersey, I had visited McGuire on many occasions... I'm sure they will produce that paint eventually - sorry, didn't mean to be a downerCoreyeagle48 wrote:Greetings
