Sales...

Post by digger » Mon Jul 11, 2005 11:58 am

With no better place to put this let's keep in mind some savings...
Today is the last day of ToyFeds 20% sale - very nice while it lasted.
As mentioned, SBP has a lot of XD marked down - marines under $5...
And I notice GoodStuff (really is the good stuff...) has $32 BTs, a $29 Jabo, $32 Shark's Mouth, Cobra, original M2,..hell, a lot of stuff on sale :D
And the best thing about that place is they refund the difference on shipping  Astounding...

RANGER"S W-mart ambush today!

Post by 75th Ranger » Mon Jul 11, 2005 7:30 pm

RANGER's ambush operation was a complete success today.
I was able to completely ssurprise a 21st vehicle convoy that was heading for the shelves.
As i gained the element of surprise, i executed my claymores and open fire upon the enemy, they quickly surrendered and I was able to snacth them all.
Upon arrival at RANGER's HQ.
Intel reports informed me that the enemy forces snatched were really valuable to us. These captured forces included: Sherman COED tank, GERMAN hanomag, US halftrack, and M41 Walker bulldog with a new VC figure. All of these were members of the elite 1/18 division.
For meritorious actions during the ambush the Daparment of scale has awarded 75th RANGER the "GOLD STAR of VALOR".

So you are saying that the COED Sherman, Hanomag, and a new M-41 showed up at Walmart??? This is definately a new reporting if that is the case!! With reports of the 1 1/2 ton truck showing up, we are really seeing a hell of a variety at WM. Thanks for the intel Ranger! You get a Silver Star!

New COEDs is great news - I hope they have the S2 paint scheme. Were the halftracks winter or OD? Thanks!!

One more thing, can we specify if this new stuff is at stores that got the figures etc...before, or is at now at stores that didn't? I want to knowif I should bother with WMs that never got the big wave the first time.

recon

Post by 75th Ranger » Tue Jul 12, 2005 12:15 pm

Well, the halftrack is od green with a paratrooper figure. the one with the US flag in the arm.
the COED is the marines version which is kind of a camouflage scheme.
Best of all
I bought each vehicle for $22.74 at local Wal_mart.

so in the past few days i have bought the following:

(2) 1 1/2 trucks.
1 command car
1 halftrack
1 hanomag
1 COED sherman
1 M41 Bulldog

If i can i will look for some more and other tanks, yesterday i bought the 4 that were in the shelf, since the guy at WALLY told me that they are only bringing a few because it is an experimental line.
I still need the marine figures and the modern figures.

Wow

Post by digger » Tue Jul 12, 2005 12:24 pm

WOW - OD halftracks are back! And it comes with a para - very cool. Things are getting kooky but I like it. :D $22 Sherman? I'm a little saddened by the "experimental" comment - haven't we already done that experiment :? Didn't we find out that when you stock the figures and vehicles they sell? Grumble....

Ranger, How's the Sherman driver? Is he a Marine tanker or just the original guy? Is the COED S2 with Marine helmets on the side? Thanks!

I saw a full case(or so I imagine, 24 figures) of 21st Century Japanese figures at a Walmart in Staunton Virginia today.

Looked good, didn't have any room in my budget for them, but I'll go back when I get my paycheck and pick some up.

what gives? shermans (coed) and the japanese soldiers already showing up at wm! and the sherman selling for a little over 22 burgers? crimony!

these are pretty big developments, to say the least.

hopefully some new stuff starts showing up in pittsburgh sooner rather than later.

in the meantime, i'll keep staring at red 3s, and hoping.

comic con on!

Japanese Figures

Post by zonetoys » Tue Jul 12, 2005 6:07 pm

I saw the Japanese figures at Walmart today for the first time! Nice details and lotsa equipment! Marines better come loaded for bear! Yeh, and they are only $4.97. New vehicles are OK too! Half Track is a dark OD and seats are OD too comes with 101st figure! Walker looks better than winter version and has a Vietnamese figure driver. COED Sherman is labled USMC and is 2 shades of a lighter green camo! And German Hanomag has camo figure and is a dark green camo similar to the original!

Just made an evening round of the Wal Marts in Fresno and nothing save for some ME-109s, FW-190s, and Bradleys - and at least two stores usually get the new stuff when it shows in the west. It seems like these new armor and figure finds are an east coast phenomenon, which makes me wonder whats in store for us westerners... F-104??

I found the same thing 75th Ranger did today at a new Wally World that just opened up. They had an assortment of like items (about 6 or 7 of each) at $22.00. No Japanese,Marines, trucks,or Panzer IV's though. These are a bargin at $22.00. I stocked up on Shermans and halftracks. :D
