Cold Steel at walmart......

Post by Teamski » Sat Oct 30, 2004 4:53 pm

wahoo!

The Walmart in Milford, DE had the 32X Mk IV, Wirblewind and Mobelwagen finally show up! I snapped those puppies up. All I can say is that they are first class, especially the Mobelwagen. It sure looks like 21st is getting better and better at this stuff! And at $15 each, they are sooo cheap it isn't funny! Now to see that Mk IV in 1:18!!

Haven't seen the new vehicles at Wal Mart... yet... but they're gathering dust on the shelf at my local Hobbytown USA. The Mobelwagon and Wirblewind are incredible pieces. Though not to wild about the vehicle's overall look, the detail around the guns is wonderfuly intricate! I like the Panzer IV, but would prefer a different color! That shouldn't be too far off, I expect.

The Wirblewind looks a bit toyish to me and I agree that the 2 tone camo on the MK IV is a bit simple. They still look great, though. Now the Mobelwagen is the class of the series. The 3 tone camo and the outright detail is second to none. I remember complaining a while back on the fact that the Mobelwagen was just a prototype, but seeing it in person, it just is downright cool looking. With the Wirblewind and Mk IV, it is an interesting "history lesson" to compare different vehicles with the same hull. Plus it's fun to play with....... :P

I uploaded a couple pictures of the tanks I got on to my Webshots account. You can find them in the Miscellanious Folder. They might give you a better idea what they look like than the official ones you see on 21st's web site.....

Why did 21st put the driver's vision slit on the Mobelwagen on the right when it should be on the left?? was it a casting mistake and they accidentally reversed it?

The Camden Walmart here just landed about 8 ea. 32x Wirbelwind, MK IV, and Mobelwagens. What a stack of boxes!! It's the most 32x I've ever seen in one shot......
