They are chinese knock off of BBi guys, I picked up a couple from shoporiental on ebay for 99 cents a pop but shipping was like six or seven dollars. They look pretty cool, nothing special but they can be used as modern soviets for the new PTE tank. They guy I got them from looks like the only way to get them as of right now.

How are the quality (plastic, articulation points, paint apps, etc.)? I am tempted to buy a set but it comes to nearly $10/figure after shipping which strikes me as a big high for what looks like a knock-off.

I saw them at TRU. I think in addition to being a bit big, they are very toy-like.
I still think that last wave of bbi modern was great:

The head sculpts, look like they might be usable. Does any one have any up-close pics?
I agree with digger, that last wave of BBI modern figures, was very nice. I just wish, I would have picked some more up when, I had the chance.

heres a pic but its not that great:

They are a bit tall, just a hair over 4" and the sculpts is not too bad, they are made to look like americans, they even have a cheezy little flag on the right shoulder. On closer inspection, they look to be more FOV knockoffs than BBi.each figure has the same gear except for the weapon, the guys I have, have a sniper rifle and an M16 with M4 rail with vertical grip and a small drum mag, not too detailed but pretty sturdy. If you can get them for 99 cents + shipping, then they are not too bad for customs. If they show up at TRU, I will get them all.[/img]

They look a little wonky, but I can see some custom potential.

The articulation looks decent and I like the looks of the scope on the sniper rifle.

Not the greatest looking figs but if I find them, I'll pick up a few.
