******be warned if bbi makes one it will probably have an over scaled landing gear with a limited ordnance pack...and don't bet on getting an extra ordnance pack from them. We are still waiting one the ones they said was coming out for the f-16 and f-18.

Our best chances on getting a nicely detailed A-10 will be from Admiral toys...

I think this is a win/win situation, but I think the Admiral version would have more detail. Jason really seems to find the small details that add so much to a model.

I agree........the bbi version will have a disgustingly over scaled landing gear.

I would love to give to get one of these from AT but if BBI makes it first they still will get my money.

Hopefully the skyraider will be out this year.

Oh and we can only hope one day the F-4 will be available for purchase.

IMHO
pickelhaube,
IF bbi makes one I bet you will be busy fixing the parts they over look on it. and for what it will cost you could buy the AT version I bet....

I bet there will be a very little ordnance package on it...and Bbi will say we are going to make an extra ordnance package for sale that is separate....Ok thats is fine but where is the ordnance package they told us that the f-18 and F-16 was going to have????????????

I'm curious---any idea about the possible price for an Admiral A-10?

I voted Admiral, for the simple fact that Jason is in touch with the fans. Even more so now.
Don't like the silent treatment of BBI, though I do like their products.
If there's a problem that needs attention, he listens, just like he did for the SBD.

Right now I feel the same way. I never knew what an A-10 was until the Gulf War. :?

I've wanted one ever since then.

A-10

Post by Rylau » Wed Feb 11, 2009 10:46 am

Even though I'm not interested in an A-10 I voted for Jason because I believe he would make a much better model. He's in touch with us and takes personal interest in what his company does as opposed to BBI which is a very large corp. and has not detailed some of their models as well as 21st has done. For example the 1/2 track and Sherman. I just hope Jason comes up with the F-4 before I die of old age. Bob

With all respect for Jason and AT, I just want a 1/18th A-10. It doesn't matter who makes them.

At least BBI came out with modern jets/helicopters. And their detailing are phenomenal, considering their selling point of under $100.

What half-track? And BBI's M4A3 105mm Sherman blows the 21st Sherman out of the water in terms of details.

agreed, BBI's stuff has been great for the price and other than their little gaff with the overly big F-16, they have done a good job.

AT will not move on the A-10 until the BBI issue is resolved, of that i feel pretty certain. So our best chance for an A10 for now, lies with BBI. I saw pics of it and can tell you it looks great. Tons of ordnance, i'm sure everyone will be quite pleased if it ever gets released.

I suspect an AT A10 will be a little nicer in quality but probably a fair bit higher in price too....maybe not but i suspect. Regardless i'll take it no matter who makes it. Until then, i am still quite happy with my GWS A-10. :)

Guys I am starting to see a trend here...first it was the f-4 now its the A-10..

this Mexican stand off is starting to tick me off the only looser here are the collectors..

Bbi had this idea many years ago but decided not to make one back then.... at this rate we will see a A-10 in about 20 years not 3.

Jason make it...to the heck with bbi

it was several pictures and it was two years ago. All i recall is that it looked great, was the shark mouth desert storm paint scheme and had oodles of ordnance. I can't remember anything about the u/c.

So, i guess if they do release it you won't be getting it if the u/c is a bit thick, is that it?
