[+] > I just received the latest 21st. re-release (S-4) Panther # 332 , and probably their last , from MD today ,.. and I must say , I'm very pleased w/ it. I'm glad I bought it. :D

* It looks alot better seeing it in person than viewing it from pics. The pics don't even justify its looks , IMO. It's darker in color , especially the "yellow" , like almost a "greenish-yellow". ... I LIKE IT alot ! * 8)

MG42:

I agree---I got mine 4 days ago and was afraid it would look like my 21st Century 1/18 Tiger I with the "yellow" paint scheme. The Panther does look a lot better than the photos due to the darker paint scheme---I just wish 21st had weathered all of the Panther and not just the wheels. The lack of total weathering is my only complaint about the Panther.

Also, Monkeydepot's $25 sure is better than Badcat's $100.

It's really very nice! Much better than the S1 Panther, which I sold off long ago. I think the S4 is a keeper.

I liked the S1, the S2(ambush) I thought looked alot like the S1 but was covered in bird $hit, never got the S3. I have to say the S4 is my favorite.

I got 2 also and these are my first 1/18 Panthers...I'm very impressed with these. I might order another 2 for re-paints.

PICKLEHAUBE:

With all those new Panthers, in addition to all the other models in your collection, are you planning to invade a small country?

Can't wait to get mine (on Thursday). The MD sale for the tank is what caused me to get it as I just couldn't justify it for the original list price. Including the shipping, the tank cost less than the S1 tank did at TRU back in the day 8)

Now whether to keep it boxed or unboxed

Yes this Panther is worth it! and at MD's price of $25.00...I got 2 and I'm :D I did order 2 from BC at their full price before it went to $100.00 oh well so now I have 4.
The paint scheme is darker then the pictures and looks great. That's going to change, I've already removed the turret and the this Panther is going to become a Jagdpanther Thanks to The Hun. With these $25.00 Panthers out there some of you might just want to make some Jagd's. Send him a PM he may still have some kits to do this custom....great kit!

i emailed them and told them about the high shipping costs and they made some adjustments. I got two panthers shipped to me for $42. So the total order was $82 for two. So, $41 each, so i'm pretty happy.

I got a 'blamo' $10 discount when i ordered two $25 panthers...no idea why.

I have no idea what i'll do with them; probably just sit on them for now and see what happens. If FOV comes out with a jagdpanther then great, otherwise i'll convert one someday. The other i may repaint or maybe just give a winter whitewash, or trade or sell one day.

aferg if you order two or more panthers you get them at 19.99 each, they charge full price on the invoice then deduct the five bucks each as a blammo discount.

I ordered two of them but didn't think that they would be such a nice looking tank as the winter panthers, but I too was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. They looked alot better than I thought they would and now I am thinking about ordering several more and maybe convert some to jagd's too.

That is a good idea but I am thinking customs. I sure wish that I did not drag my feet when the Panzers went on sale at Walmart. They had about 20 of 'em and I just had enough money for 2. I went back about a week later to get the rest and yep all gone.

Hmm.. Bergepanther , Jagdpanther , early Panther , Panther II , Flakpanther talk to me baby ,talk to me.

[+] Jagdpanther Custom Possibilities

Post by MG-42 » Fri Feb 13, 2009 7:40 am

* I couldn't resist buying a couple more w/ MD's Blammo ! ,.. deal.

......... I'm thinkin' customs too , but there's only so many Panther chassis you can do ,..
so the Jagdpanther assault-gun platform itself , is good enough for me.

Yeah, I was thinking I really should order a few more just to have some spares for customs. When I put them in my cart I noticed that the blammo discount is no longer there so they're now $24.95 each even when you buy multiples. :(
