Cabe, you're not getting much in the way of FOV modern are you? I"m always looking for another M1, and at clearance prices, I'm looking for even more. Let me know if you come across any, or Bradleys for that matter.

I am seeing nothing but modern. Strykers, Howitzer etc. I have seen a few Abrams, but that was before the clearance. All the modern I see now are remarked Bravo and have reg prices on them

Dammit, I'm sure my Targets have been ransacked by now. :(

Oh well, I'm still happy about my once in a lifetime find enthusiast Euro/NATO camo M-60 in an action series box a few weeks ago. It was even marked down to $15 I believe.

My area Targets seem to have cleared the regular FOV products out long ago, though some of the 1:72 sets still remain. While I saw the Elefant, Deuce, M1 and Bradley around the holidays (some stores with tons of either one vehicle or the other), I never did see the repackaged M-60 or especially the SDK-7. Too bad, but I'm not going to complain beyond what I've said here

Product Availability

Post by lightning2000 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 3:30 pm

Hi,
One of the reasons why you might find a particular line in one retail outlet and nothing in a similar outlet has to do with test marketing. Typically, a buyer will test market a new brand by putting product in their "A" stores to see how they do, rather than jumping in and purchasing tons of product. If the items sell well, then the product may be offered in all of their remaining stores. If, on the other hand, the retailer has to heavily discount or clearance the line to move product, then you can forget about seeing it in the rest of their stores.

Well, the Targets in my AO have cleared out all their FOV. It seems that the craptastic Bravo Team vehicles are going to be all they carry from now on. Oh well, one less store for me to have to search.
