I raise you ONE 1:32 custom Jagdtiger

Post by Cabe » Thu Jan 22, 2009 3:17 pm

a commissioned 1:32 Jagdtiger
from 21stC.
Still have to add mud under the fenders, some camo netting and foliage on the hull.

i like how the fenders came out. I know the metal is much thinner than the plastic shows, but hey it look pretty good anyway

Jagdkitty covers both models
Naw, seriously though as soon as I can get some of these other projects done, I'd like to do a Jagdtiger in 1/18th. Only problem I see so far is the main gun mallet. I could carve something out of wood perhaps because I'm not set up to do casting. Carvin' up that dark gray panther ain't a problem. The 128mm cannon is straight forward and can be made out of styrene. The hatches I can get a good friend of mine to make  But the problem when it's done is that it'll be like Lay's potato chips and you can stop at just one

yeah, i decided to put the texture on the gun using model putty and the end of a stiff brush using a stippling motion
why 21st doesn't use a texture on gun manlet for the jagdtiger or the hetzer.....oh f they didn't even put the MG on that

I'll just echo what everyone else has said... it looks really nice 8) It definitely has an authentic war torn and weatherbeaten look to it. I don't think you posted enough pictures of it though Cabe.....LOL sorry man, I just couldn't resist...

That's one nice Jagdtiger Cabe, was a little sad to see the hole in it though :( I have an abundance of 21st panzer IVs laying around and I'm thinking I'll do the same to one of them eventually, maybe making the damage a bit more catastrophic though.
