21st must be looking at my 1/48 Armour Starfighters. I have all 3 that have been shown. Funny part is that I actually bought them in that order they've been shown to us. I can't wait for these to get here. :)

Just about worth going to Comic Con to get this plane!

Gee, there's already a repaint of the F-104 and the first one hasn't even hit the shelves yet.

It's all good baby! At least you know what is coming out. They could keep the repaints a secret and force you to buy another one because you felt it was cooler looking. There seems to be a rhyme to the reason now :)

ps. All of the 104 versions look great! I hope the German version hits it big in Europe!

I was really hoping for a German version of the 104. Though, it was not this livery. I was hoping it would be in the Bavarian blue and white diamonds. However, this is cool nonetheless and I bet Dirk is going to sell them like hotcakes. Lord knows I will probably end up with one eventually.

That's actually the third paint version we've seen of the Starfighter: the original US version, Vietnam version and now the German Marinflieger version. There's also a Japanese airforce version coming.

I suspect on this one we could eventually see quite a number of repaints representing various air forces that flew them, as limited edition series targeted for sales in various countries (much as i suspect the Japanese air force one is).

I just received an E-mail from 21st H.Q. informing me that the winners of the F-104 Starfighter - (silver airforce scheme) began shipping today! 21st received the "short order" supply air freighted from china earlier in the week.... Looks like the lucky winners will be getting new planes very soon! As promised the lucky winners will get several weeks early, but general distribution is only weeks away as production is now complete. Congrats to the winners.... do we have any that frequent the boards here? Chime in and let us know what you think when you get them!

That would be great! I didn't know for sure if any were regulars. I hoped at least one would be. I don't know when I will get mine. I might have to wait for the general distribution? I know they brought in just a hand full early. Mostly just for the contest winners and a couple to display at Comic Con.

-Wait a minute! I think 75th Ranger was a lucky winner if I remember correctly!

VERY cool news.

Good timing too. I have a contract on the house, but we don't close for about four weeks. So, I've got plenty of time to pick stuff up and "sneak" it into the stuff to be moved...
