I've seen TV shows and several books with experimental and unusual German aircraft of WWII, but never ran across this plane. Some similiar, but not this one.

Not as unusual as it might first seem... The He-111 Zwilling was developed as a possible means to help tow the ME-321 "Gigant" glider before the powered ME-323 version was made. The Zwilling design actually worked well.

Ah-ha. I found some info that said there were actually 4 of these in operation at the end of the war.

thye military channel actually had some footage recently of this plane and a giant being shot down by a p-51. its was incredible footage since the giant was loaded with troops who began to jump out as the giant went down in flames
