So exactly what does this mean other than an Illinois WM post-X-Mas clearance sale?

Was in Wisconsin for Holdiays - Walmarts shelves were mostly empty of 21C with a few clearance items.

My closest WM managed to pull out a dozen BF-109s in the Russian Front scheme and sold all but one by Xmas. Still has a bunch of 155mm howitzers and one Spitfire. The rest is a mix of 1/144 armor and some 1/18 soldiers.

A few months ago I bought up a ton of 1/32 tanks and AC for $11 each and each local WM restocked the exact same pieces two weeks later at full price. I think this is a periodic reset and does not necessarily spell the end.

Agreed. It's probably a reset. One WM by me has clearance 1/32 at $9, the other doesn't... etc., etc...

Each WalMart seems to stock independently from the rest on the toys at least.

My wife picked up this Fw-190F at one of our local Walmarts about three weeks ago for one of my Christmas presents. Regular price of about $15. They also had a bunch of 1/144 scale dogfight packs and assorted armor. Out of five Walmarts within a reasonable driving distance from our house, only one still has 21C aircraft on the shelves.

I got three of those at the moment...I do like it, but 2 late Eastern Front F-8s(Red 9 Hungary '44/45 and Black 2 Czech'45, is 1 too many in these short times, one should have been ETO. least white 7 in it's Italian camo broke the trend.

One is getting repainted when my Osprey book on Schlacht Gruppen comes in, I want to do a Western Front plane for SG4 during the Wacht am Rhein.
