Not sure if this is the right forum, but Monkeydepot has a 1/6 German SS halftrack on clearance for $749.95. Due the large size, the buyer must contact Monkeydepot beforehand to make shipping arrangements.

There are a few around that pop up on eBay for around $700.
I paid $50 for shipping from LA to NJ. This beast weighs around 50lbs. It is an absolute awesome piece but due to the weight, it has been rolled into my "toy" office and there it sits. The tracks actually makes tracks into the carpet.

And anyway, the MD add said "250". The model is of a "251"...... but who is being picky....
A toy is just a toy, right?
I'm waiting for the half track and truck and tank kits to come out in 1/6.
The industry has made a good start with gun and vehicle kits, let's hope it continues. Might have to expand my toy room......... you just never know...

They still pop up now and then, some still in NIB. Prices vary widely. Recently they have gone for $150 (rare) up to $450 (usual eBay price).
One is on eBay right now with 7 hr left..... price is $122 but it has been played with and is missing parts. Another weathered on recently went for $180 (again missing a few parts) and a NIB went for $242 recently.
Even though I have a couple, I still watch for the bargain. WSC's are like rubber balls to a kid, you just can't have too many.....

The Sdkfz 250 kit being sold is quite a bit different from the more expensive half track offered on eBay.
The expensive one is a DID Sdkfz 251 (bigger than the 250), it is assembled, painted (one of five paint schemes originally offered) and METAL.
The "250" is by Armor Hobbies, is plastic, unpainted and you can find one cheaper than the standard $229. Say the word and I'll sell you the "extra" kit I have.
If anybody is interested, I'll post a pic of the two (250 and 251) together.

Do two half tracks make a whole track...?
I'm interested...

As requested:

The big camo guy is the metal DID Sdkfz 251. The "251" was a troop carrier, towed fairly large artillery, mounted MG's, cannons from the 2.8 gun on mine, or the popular 37mm or the 75mm.
The little gray guy is the plastic Armor Hobbies Sdkfz 250. Used as a command vehicle, recon vehicle and would carry the 2.8mm gun or 37mm gun. Would tow trailers or light artillery.
Both are good to scale but the DID "251" has a problem with the angles on the rear body, correcting these angles would be a major reconstruction since that body is metal. The body is not a problem for me.
I like them both and in the 1/6 world, we have a million accessories available for either, guns, tools, radios. How realistic you want depends on your wallet.
One of those accessories is the custom made engine on my "250". Neither model comes with an engine.
I will complete both someday........ really, someday...

The Ruskie Scout Car was my first custom purchase. I never found out who made it, but it is an awesome piece.
The twin Maxims are moulded resin, even the mg belts match the Maxim belts on the DML Ruskie sailor. The maker even cut out the wheels to be truck wheels of WW2 vintage. Besides the paint with painted markings. My crew is a hotch podge of different units, as was used in the early war, before they got their act together.
Gotta update that Webshots, my guys are in one room now, and as I unpack from my move, I try to set up a few a day.
