Remember Steve Canyon...??
Any of you guys old enough to remember the late 40's early 50's comic book hero Steve Canyon...?? Well, he had a TV series in 1958-1959 as well, and volume 1 is out on DVD. This is great stuff for the wing nuts around here that are into Century series jets and other late 1950's USAF cold war flying hardware....

Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!

We didn't have the mask, although my brother is 9 years older than I so we might have...but we did have a book that was about Steve Canyon ...where he saves some young lad from a Soap Box Derby car run amuck and then teaches him about respect and safety etc...
He always reminded me of Race Banner from Johnny Quest?....

I had the Evil Kneivel motorcycle. It could not jump the canyon between the kitchen table and an end-table from the couch dragged into the dining area for landing purposes.
