Unbelievable XD find.

To set the scene, here in NZ, our version of Walmart, 'The Warehouse' only has some Power Team and Elite Force (Chap Mei) stuff, I buy these for my son,(8 years) and he kindly lets me have any of the accessories I want.
Anyway, I got to the toy aisle and it was a hive of activity,there were trolly loads of Power Team items being stacked onto the shelves.On closer inspection,Power team had launched a fantastic 1/18th WW2 series
of figures and vehicles which looked every bit as good as 21st Century.Included was a Spinach camo 109,Fw paint schemes I'd never seen,boxed sets of German troops(including a German Shepherd).
Being a dutiful board member, I got out a notebook to make a list of everything for you guys;then POOF , I woke up!
I know, it's a sad thing for a 43 year old. Am I the only one here who needs a good psychiatrist specialising in compulsive, toy related fixations?
Come on ,own up to any XD dreams you might have had,maybe we can get some group therapy,hehe.

I'd love to walk in to a TRU and see the shelves loaded with F-18s and P-51s at discounted prices... heck, I'll even go for a $20 Blackhawk right now! There are no blackhawks around here.

As for XD... it'd be nice to walk into a TRU and see a bunch of shipments of XD (original aircraft) that they 'forgot' about and have been back there for a gew years.

Can't think of any dreams that I've had (or at least remember) regarding XD, but there is always that feeling of desire and anticipation when awaiting something new and really cool - such as the Avenger.

I did, however, once have a dream that I was flying a Corsair in my WWII flight-sim computer game, save that in the dream it was all real. Now that was cool!

We all need some degree of help here, but then doesn't everyone? I mean, there may be alot of other people who don't collect military toys, but they are into other things to the point of obsession, whether it be women, sports, cars, a career or their front lawn.

I had the dream of the yard sale. I walk by a yard sale and see a ton of XD. I think wow, this is great. The prices are like a dollar for vehichles and a quarter for figs. I get ready to buy everything that is there. I pull this humongous wad of money out of my wallet. I ask the woman running it where she got all of it. Then she tells me, "Oh my neighbor lady up the street got sick of her husband playing with toys." Then I look around and I realize I am on my street. I panic; I run up to my garage. I throw it open to find that my man cave has been replaced and my wife covered it floor to rafters in cheesie romance novels. After that part, I woke up in a cold sweat. Possibly, it was my wost dream ever.

You had me going in the beginning. For a second I thought NZ was a very lucky place-but then to find out that things are virtually the same all over regarding our hobby.

I love how with the lack of anything new in 1:18 for months now, we take to inventing fun new topics (like this one), pass around vague new rumors (BBI Corsair??) or return to old topics (Wal Mart bashing) for entertainment on the board. At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if it may be around Christmas

Yeah, this one time I thought I woke up only to find I was dressed as a BOB jeep driver. I reached across the back seat of the jeep to get my rifle, but my gloved hands would not close to grip the rifle. My hand would not form any fingers to pull the trigger of the gun nor would my poorly articulated arm even able to bend into a position to point the gun at the enemy. I was doomed! Worst of all my one foot ached. I looked down to see this flat piece of plastic attached to my foot with a peg jammed into my heel. I looked to the painted cardboard sky in agony only to see a large set of a finger and thumb inching their way to my head. I screamed as my head was POPPED off.
I rewoke to find my head reattached to a US first series Officer's body with my trigger finger on the trigger of my trusty Thompson propped on a Normandy building wall ready for action against the enemy as a loud familar beeping sound becomes clearer...

Another day of WORK!!!
