Post by debrito » Fri Nov 21, 2008 1:39 pm

As part of the air defense network in Berlin designed to protect the city from allied bombing. The first aspect of flak tower construction was always built in pairs, a Gun-tower and the Command-tower, both normally sited close together between 350-500 meters and linked via underground cables.

They are so massive it was too expensive to destroy them so they remains now in Vienna and Hamburg. Only the flakturm from Tiergarten in Berlin has been destroyed by the British aftert the war.

Anybody want to make one in 1/18 ?
