The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Re: Kingtiger Price
I would think a big issue with that 88 would be the number of parts, detail of assembly, etc. Would the KT be as complicated a product to produce? Which one would have more actual plastic? Those would be two good questions to answer or speculate on.Stug45 wrote:Seeing that the 88 is $100, if 21st does make the KT how much do you think its going to be??

The 88 is only $89.99 so I bet the KT will be at least $149.99.Stug45 wrote:Seeing that the 88 is $100, if 21st does make the KT how much do you think its going to be??

I think the KT will be around $110
I think the KT will break the $100 barrier and be a sign of the future for 1/18 new releases if there are any.
I am not optomistic for 1/18 future with our economic future linked to China's massive internal problems. Chinese production lines have to skyrocket in cost until our plastic (or metal) toy guys find somewhere else to make stuff...... India? Russian countries? Africa? South America? maybe even the U.S.?????

Actually, the $89.99 price tag is for pre-orders only, folks. That means the 88 will be something like $100-110 at full retail price. Which means the much anticipated KT will probably be around $120. It won’t come with any figures/accessories and will probably sport an electric pink paintjob, so that you guys are forced to buy one “just in case” the 21C shark goes belly up.

Where'd you pre-order one for $79 Mitch...?? I'd like to know, that's a great deal even if you add shipping, and if it's still available I would recommend to anyone who wants one to jump on this deal.MG-42 wrote:[+] > I'll get mine for $79.00 @ a pre-ordered pri¢e set months ago ,..

You mean they will still honor the mistaken pre-order price...?? That would be dandy if I could find it anywhere, If not, I have no idea what you're getting at.MG-42 wrote:* You slighted the fact that they'd still honor their previously mistaken quoted pre-ordered pri¢e ,..

Thats unusual for them to honor the preorder price. I also collect 1/18 diecast Musclecars and have placed several preorders where the price still went up. The most recent example being the Kyosho Ferrari 250 GT which I preordered at $79. but eventually paid $110. for. The diecast dealers state the preorder only holds the vehicle and is not a price guarante.

When the error occured, I tried to order a couple over the phone (big mistake) and they said they could or would not take any more orders at the incorrect price.

Funny This SHould Come Up
Hello All,
Funny this topic should come up. Back in the day when XD was still being sold through WalMart, we listed the '88' at only $49.99 seeing as how most of the other 1:18 scale vehicles were selling for around $40.
Lo and behold our overly zealous early listing turns out to be an early holiday gift to a number of customers that pre-ordered the item at that incredible price. So, to make a long story short, we're still honoring those pre-orders submitted to us at that price, even though it means we're making bupkis (did I spell that right?). Sometimes it does pay to send in those pre-orders as soon as possible, especially in today's turbulent market climate.
