Screw the props, give me AFTERBURNER!!!!
Looking through my Bye Bye Baby Tomcat book last night I realized that WWII fighter birds are just about played out in 1/32 and I really want to see JETS!!! This is the future of the hobby; BBi, help us out here.
I know, we still need a Hellcat, Hurricane, Mig, Avenger, Lightning, Defiant MkII etc. but the list is now pretty darn short. I've given up on seeing multi-engine planes in this scale pre-built so it is time for something new. Just think of a 1/32 A-10 and F-14. If that doesn't get your motor going, I don't know what will.

There is that new PTE F-22. While marketed for 1:18 scale figures, it is almost perfectly 1:32 scale in size. With a new paint job and a little work to the cockpit, could be a passable modern jet
Here is a picture of mine after I repainted it, with the BBI F-4 for scale:

32x barely scratched the surface of WWII aircraft.
you have 99% of the Japanese airforce left as well as Italian Aeronautica
then you have the minor countries
and the rare-birds for the major countries
even then stuff like the Fi-156 which was a very important plane and served in both sides airforces in roles hasn't been done yet.
So the WWII catalog is still there.
Hopefully if 21st survives or someone else gets the gonads, Revell's Ju88A will show them WHAT CAN be done and WHAT people will buy.

Agreed! I can't get enough WWII aircraft! And Panzer is right, there are many more out there waiting to be duplicated in 1:32 plastic.Panzer_M wrote:32x barely scratched the surface of WWII aircraft.

Boys, I love WWII AC took, but what are the odds anyone will buy nevertheless make many of the lesser known planes? I think slim to none. Unless it is some garage industry nobody is ever going to release a Defiant or the likes. I would love to see twin engine planes in 1/32 but I can't see anyone making the plunge in the near future. Jets are poorly represented and after seeing what BBI has done with the Phantom I am excited to see more. I think there is a good market out there for jets and it would be a nice change. I mean who wouldn't want a 1/32 Tomcat? If you can say no with "Highway to the Danger Zone" cranked up you are downright un-American!

I'm all for you guys getting your jets but hey, an F-15 or F-14 is as big or bigger than a Mosquito, P-38, Bf110, etc. etc, so let's just say they make both! Give us a damn P-38 at least which next to the Mustang and the Spitfire is easily one of the most identifiable WWII fighters. Even little Timmy might want one so he can do commemorative flights with it and his Raptor.

I prefer plastic because it allows for more detail and is cheaper.
However, the plastic companies usually prefer WW II planes, so I've had to turn to diecast for my jets: F-14, F-15, F-4, A-6, B-24, B-25, F-117, B-17.
21st Century's 1/18 Ritchie F-4 apparently is dead, so I bought Hobby Master's diecast 1/72 Ritchie F-4 along with Cunningham's F-4. I also have diecast Bong's P-38 and Bishop's SE5A.
I would still like to see BBI release more 1/32 jets to go along with my 1/32 F-4...but I realize that's wishful thinking.
