Jagdtiger in 1/18 scale?

Post by pickelhaube » Sat Oct 25, 2008 3:20 pm

Is 21st going to make the Tiger II ? Who knows . I don't think that 21st even knows. It is a cinch that they will not be making a Jagdtiger. So I have made up some 1/18 scale prints of the Jagdtiger and it does not look like that much of a project. Famous last words .

Does the world need a 1/18 scale Jadgtiger ?

Yes it is but if I am making it from scratch it matters not.

Does the world need a 1:18th Jagdtiger? Hell Yeah! Pickel
I still think we will see the King Tiger from 21st so I'd hold on to the prints/drawings and plan on working on the upper half. As far as the Jagdtiger being longer if you look at the 32X line the Jagd and King are the same length. Who's gonna know? YaknowwhatImean 8)

For what it's worth, I understand Heng Long will be releasing a 1/16 Jagdtiger in the not too distant future. Might be worth the wait for anyone who doesn't want to scratchbuild a 1/18 version.

don't do it!

You said you didn't want to do a t-34 because there is a 1/16 one. Well there's about to be a 1/16 Jagdtiger too, so same logic should apply.

The 21c KT is probably going to be made; then you can just do a conversion for it. Much easier and cheaper. And while the Jagdtiger was longer, it was only by 4 inches....hardly significant, so the 21c KT chassis will be fine to use.

But do what you want, you will anyway.
