1/18 cruise missile?
1/18 cruise missile?
i was in a hobby shop today and they had an Estes model rocket that was of an ALCM cruise missile. It was on a wall behind the counter and i didn't have a chance to measure it but eye balling it makes me think it might be pretty close to 1/18.
Anyone have one of these or have seen in it close up?
Here's a picture of it. If you ignore the goofy decals it looks pretty good.

i ended up buying one of these today. I got it for $9.24 shipped so i figured, what the heck.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

I am not quite sure of the bodies profile but it looks to be an oval shape.
In that case it would be easy to make larger.
Split it length wise and fill in the expansion.

As for the cruise missile, I can see some potential. I spent some time looking at pics and drawings of this early ALCM, thinking of it as a printer project. I'd need some better pics and dimensions to really judge, though . . .
