Nice signature Tko!
It has got to be. Hmm how much will it go for? I say $375
I wonder what the reserve is.

There are actually two on ebay right now. This second one is slightly less expensive. I think this second guy should not have posted his until after the first had sold.

This one looks like a fake. Look at the last few letters. They don't line up with the same panel lines as the one with the documentation. Oh and that's another thing that seems to be missing (the papers). I don' t know for sure, but that's my opinion. It's planned to place it for sale with a real one to drum up business.

It looks pretty close to me. I don't have a TT so I can't really offer an opinion.

I love the wording on the certificate, especially the "...help us in time of need..." part
The name on the letter sounds familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. He may (or may have been) a fellow board member.

I asked the seller of the second TT about the certificate and letter. The response was that he bought from the second owner and does not have any of that. That in itself is inconclusive, but just another piece of the puzzle.
Back to the lettering. To me the whole text size seems small. It does not cover as much of the cowling (more space in front and behind the TT). That to me doesn't point to QC error in production. The red hatch cover that appears under the canopy and above the number 6 on the "Old Crow" appears on this one, but not the one with papers. And finally, to me the W does not look quite the same. I do not know if this is a custom or not. These are just some thing that look like differences to me.
Sorry for the nagging on the issue. I just get sucked into something like this and want to know more. If it's a custom - it looks pretty darn good from the pictures. Just be honest if it is. Thanks for letting me get this out of my system. I hope the AC is everything the winning bidder sees it as.

Well my take on it is this. The second one (bogus one ?) first call letter does not line up with the LT like the one with papers The "B" should line up dead under the Lt. Also if this guy baught it second hand the person who had it originaly would have sold the papers with it. Because there was a long discustion on this on the board a few years back. Conclusion , if it doesn't have the papers it is bogus.
BUYERS BEWARE
PASS ON THIS ONE
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

If I may add something, you can't go on the "B" lining up with the "LT" on the canopy, because the canopy is open on the First listing. I wouldn't trust papers ether, as if someone sold theirs and kept the papers, they could turn around and make one and sell it with papers. Just my thoughts on that.
I have not opened my TTT, and the canopy is closed all the way. I can't say that is a total reason the First listing it fake or not, but the rest of the paint matches up with what I have. The "THE TENDER TERROR" almost goes into the silver. With that I could say the First listing with the papers is the real deal.
The Second listing without papers, doesn't have the features that mine has. Also the other thing that is off about this plane is the nose looks to have black paint over the OD green that it should be. I would say this one is a custom, because of the paint application on the nose and "THE TENDER TERROR" is too high.

A fake one sold on ebay a couple months or so ago. The seller was honest, he admitted he did the custom in TT livery. Could this be it???
