FoV 1/48 Huey
From the pics I've seen, and judging by their Apaches and Blackhawks, the new 1/48 Heuy shouldn't look half bad. The scheme looks nice, with opening doors. Hopefully it will ship this month, as planned and advertised. An added bonus would be opening compartments, like in their previous birds. Most importantly though, it's a new mold and covers an era not touched upon previously by FoV: the Vietnam War. Maybe they'll come out with a Cobra later. From the Corgi Hueys I've seen, this is a good-looking heli, and FoV should do a pretty decent job on it. Anyone contemplating on buying this?

I'm kinda with Oliphant here. All my armor and troops are in 1:32, why would I want helicopters in 1:48?
I suppose I could hang them in my hallway and use the size difference to make it appear that they were in my bedroom, but it seems a bit much.
If they were in 1:32, man, I'd have to get way more than I'd care to afford. The Blackhawks alone would cost me a small fortune. And I've always had a soft spot for AH-1's, especially modern Marine units.

FOv has a 1:48 Huey coming up? I agree that 1:32 would be much prefered, but I do have their 1:48 Blackhawk and Apache Longbow and feel that they are of good quality - much better than the first three 1:32 WWII planes. The Huey will go quite well with my 1:48 Ah-1G Cobra made by Corgi

I think 1/32 choppers are harder to produce; more details, more materials, more research, more money. FoV made planes in 1/32 because they just have to make the engine, but a 1/32 Blackhawk or Huey will require the entire inner section to be reproduced. Maybe it's better that helis stay in 1/48...cheaper.
