Hardest XD Figures to Find

Post by dandaman » Mon Aug 11, 2008 11:02 pm

Can we start a "hardest XD figures to find" thread again?

I would say in all my travels, Cpt. Russo and Osternoh are the rarities.

How about you guys?

Osternoh, as in Fritz Osternoh? I think I have a ton of them in my area. Far too many to call rare. In fact, their numbers are blocking the full proliferation of the Platoon figures, never mind those three new WWII figures. New figures in the western states? All those Wal Marts in the old Confederacy got them instead and their stores aren't sharing :?

I think the hardest to find is the black uniformed Panzer Commander. If I remember correctly he only came with the Panther.
New figures would be the Dual Pack Germans.

For me its the NVA and VC figures from 2000 and 2001.

As far as the newer figures I have seen them all. I just want to see some more armor on the shelves.

Tigers had black uniformed panzer commanders as well, full sized.

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

Problem with the Tiger commander was he has the regular head size, but a slightly smaller body in order to fit into the tank (?) :? I'm still trying to figure out which was the hardest to find. I'm thinking for me it was the S1 Otto with the brown camo. Don't have to many of him  Evil bay seems to have almost anything I need, and I get it. Then walk away with empty pockets or should I say pocket book  Da GEneral

I know how you feel Gen. I have resolved to snipe every NVA/VC that is listed on ebay. So far I havn't had to pay anymore than $10 a figure, but I see them only listed sparingly.

Another figure I would love to find more of is the Pilot that was packaged with the Huey.

You can make them, like Grunt Did

You can also take the VN Jeep driver and add a tanker/pilot helmet to make a Huey pilot

The US RTO figure was never released, only a prototype.
But you could take a radio from build-a-rama and use a Series 1 US soldier to make this figure...
