The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

I did a gig in Milwaukee last Friday and then Chicago Saturday, we decided to drive back to MI after the show...called and said I should be home by 10am....we left at @ 4 am and got stuck in traffic, caught some zzzzz's at a rest stop...oh and my cell phone died...got back at noon...upon wich she caled and said I am lying, must have partied all night with strippers and started destroying all my XD...two tiger 1's and a panther...which (here is the best part) had a hidden stash of my 1/18-1/16 scale spending money saved over the last 9 months... $300.00 for the soon to be released FOV 1/16 Sherman......
Now the anger went up to 11
After that I lost Hurry Home Honey, BBI Zero, my 1/32 custom hetzer, and the custom Tiger 131....got home just in time to save the 1/16 FOV Wittmann Tigers.
She went to the mall and spent the money.

I'm sorry to hear this
And I'm sorry to say this, but one word is all that's needed -
DIVORCE
or, you could go and shread up some of her dresses, crush some of her Jewelry, melt some of her CD or record albums and so on, and so on - well you get the picture
Will this make it right
I won't let this one rest, time for a change I'd say
Because like what's next ???
There's the door dear, don't let it hit your a** on your way out
Sorry, been there and done that.
Just make sure you file first
I hope you called the police and made a report, esp. on the missing money
It'll help when standing infront of the Judge

she doesn't/didn't trust you in the relationship and destroyed your belongings...for the value of the material take her to court.

Thanks for all the words of support....I actually thought of Gen Blasto as I looked at the wreckage and thought "my what a fine diorama of the Falaise Gap this would make"......in the end it was a very bad misunderstanding and I took a very long drive...(which was the last thing I wanted to do after driving 8 hours)
I already let her know that the replacement of the panzer division has begun and she had best not say a word of the shrinking bank account because of it.
I can rebuild (if Target ever gets the Tiger 1 back in) and I am going to a great Air Show this weekend to forget about things and shoot some walk around pictures of the sherman, hetzer, wildcat and others. But man I am still pissed.

i'd admitt I didn't read the first post just looked at the pics and thought you were doing some darn death of a tiger ala Wittman or Saving Private Ryan..than I re-read..and wow...then I read the entire list of KIA and was shocked. I am glad I am single...and I am glad I have a Schlage on the door to the Hobby-Chamber...now a little more glad for my concern for my little machines and men.Yoxford wrote:Thanks for all the words of support....I actually thought of Gen Blasto as I looked at the wreckage and thought "my what a fine diorama of the Falaise Gap this would make"......in the end it was a very bad misunderstanding and I took a very long drive...(which was the last thing I wanted to do after driving 8 hours)

WTF man.....
Did she randomly picked out a target, or did she deliberately picked that one because she knows how hard you freaking worked on that gem?
I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully, this will be a one-time thing with your wife. I sincerely hope she won't do anything like this again.
Maybe you could get that Tamiya Panther and possibly a Jagdpanther in the near future?

Yeah, what the General said.
Seriously though, this is a huge crossing of the line and has to be addressed. WTF kind of marriage are you in where your wife feels justified in destroying your property, especially when ultimately she is destroying her own property as well (those things cost money and thus are an asset which can be liquidated for cash later)?
Something like this will only escalate. What else are you willing to see ruined?
