BBI 32nd scale SBD Dauntless
The Bad Cat site says the BBI 32nd scale SBD models are in the states, and they are waiting to get them. I am looking forward to getting one of these babes!

It's been a long road, but I am still in the game.

I would love to see some pics. I decided to spend my August BCA money on the new 1/18 109.

I was in Galaxy Hobby in Lynnwood WA today and saw that they had a stack of about 6 or 7 of them getting ready to go out on the shelves. They weren't price marked yet, and I didn't think to ask how much as I couldn't afford to buy anything this week anyway, but it's a good sign that brick and mortar stores are carrying them.
BTW, the detail looked really nice and I liked the weathering, especially the exhaust stains and such.

The badcat pics don't give a good angle on the size of the pilot but it does give one piece of info,"The rear gunner is actually only half a figure and he won't fit in the plane with the included rear canopy in the closed (non-combat) position."!!! ? Looks like some custom work might be in order. The C21 corsair pilots are pretty good.
As for size, the dauntless is a fairly small plane (viewed one in person at the Palm Springs Air Museum next to a Hellcat, Wildcat, Avenger, etc) and taller pilots had to duck or slouch down when the canopy was closed.

I hope a half a gunner is the only shortcoming
of this model.
