Is anyone concerned about the availability of the henry Jones figure? It's currently packed at 1/case. With gas prices curbing potential trips to Walmart for scouting, I wonder if it's better just to suck it up and buy on eVilBay. Is anyone else concerened about gettin a connery fig?

My concern.

Post by dandaman » Fri Jul 18, 2008 10:22 pm

Do you want to know what my real concern is?

That one day there will be a nationwide sale on the first waves of Indy figures and I will be the last to know.

That afterwards, people will post that they found awesome deals, like $2 figures and the like.

And I will have missed out.

That, my friend, is my true concern.

Yes, I am very concerned. I have not seen any of the new wave of figures at the 8 Wal Marts in my city and county alone. I found part of the wave (Young Indy and Grail Knight) a couple weeks ago at a Wal Mart far south of me that is not on my usual patrol pattern due to its 80 mile round trip distance. I keep hoping to see more, but the availability of the Henry Jones Sr. and Col. Vogel figures is troubling to me. Its not that I want to see tons of them like the Mutt figures, just a few more getting out there would be greatly appreciated!

I have only found one of the new IJ figures; the young IJ. I think the time is ripe for a WM IJ fire sale. 8)

I am looking forward to the day when someone on the forum announces the commencement of the long-awaited "fire sale"...

Just leave some for me.

I was at 2 KB toys stores today, they had the Indy figures for $8.99   Whats up with that? The Wal has em for $6.94 and TRU for $6.99.

Most of the stores around here have a glut of the original figure sets. There is no room to put out the new figures. But I did hear that a new Walmart had opened across the metro so I went there looking for a TV digital converter amonst other things. I did find one Indiana Jones with the MG from the new set. Other then that there wasn't much left but the same old stuff.

I would love to get a bunch of the soldiers too. Fat chance of happening to be a walmart when it happens. My prediction: piles of Mutt figs.

I broke down and order a henry jones on evilbay. Paid ~28 bucks with shipping. Yes I got ripped. but after i figured in the miles I would have to drive to find one and with petrol at 5.50/gal here. I figured what the heck. I only hope the one i get doesn't have a shite paint job like some of the other figs I've seen. fingers crossed.

Hmm

Why does the Indy with RPG figure look like he has a cut in his forehead? It looks Frankenstein-ish.

And the Toht figure...why does he have a line through his torso? Does he twist at the waist? Twisty action? That's kinda lame.

Was it necessary to create a toss-me-the-idol guy? He looks cool, but he's such a random pick for a figure.

The mechanic's head sculpt looks really good and the Marion figure is, I hate to say it, "hot".

Tank Showdown???

Post by PanzerArm » Sat Jul 26, 2008 7:53 pm

What is this tank showdown I see everyone talking about? It is the same tank showdown in the scene selection menu of The Last Crusade DVD? I'm confused! If it's a new IJ toy with that tank from the movie I have to see it!

Edit: NM, saw the last pic on the link posted, kind of disappointed by the tank... Is it just cardboard???

I was wondering the same darn thing panzerarm.

This is one sure fire way to find the German commander. I wonder if Hasbro is so devious as to know collectors like us will by five or six of these each just to get his figure...

It would be cool if they made that tank, better yet if they made the Flying Wing. If Hasbro can make a Millenium Falcon ($160.00 at TRU) which is "over 2 1/2 feet" I think they could do the Wing.

Anyone found the Grail Knight yet? Here the pegs are so clogged with first wave, they wouldn't put anything new out even if there are cases in the back waiting to be put out. And now Star Wars has taken up some of the Indy space, so I assume the existing products will just keep sitting there.

I picked up the Grail Knight, Col.Vogel, Young Indy, Dr. Henry Jones, & Dr. Elsa Schneider The other day at WM because they had left the boxes open on the floor, but never put them out! Nobody was around so my son and I found one box of these characters and I grabbed them. Tried to find a second Dr. Jones but no luck YET! All well worth getting!
