You Snooze, You Lose! The Franklin Mint Kicks Off a Huge Inventory Reduction Sale!
Usually, you get incredible deals from The Franklin Mint around the holiday season. This year, the manufacturer has cut the price on many of their stalwart aircraft by up to 60%! Besides a 1:24 scale Sherman tank and 1:350 scale rendition of the battleship Missouri, the company has slashed the price on many of their most popular favorites during the dog days of summer. Loads of airplanes have been reduced in price, including several of their Heinkel He-111s, Eurofighter Typhoons and troop transports. Keep in mind that this is a first come, first served sale, so dont wait until the end of the sale to nab some of these awesome 1:48 scale warbirds! By that time, it could be too late! See the entire list of heavily discounted aircraft in our Special Promotions section. While supplies last! Sale ends July 18th, 2008...[posted 7/13/2008]

Thanks Lightning. I am very tempted over the HE-111s to help complement my 1/48 21C fleet.
Have I mentioned that I know in my bones that 1/48 is the scale 21C will be making big bombers in?

I've had some serious quality control and workmanship issues with the Franklin Mint. My local hobby shop even stopped carrying them since so many people complained and or returned them. I know some of you may have never had a problem but I would have to say buyer beware.
