While we were gone for a week, I did a little( and I mean little ) recon to see what I could find in GA. I found one of those BBI guys at a TRU, but I don't know if he was an older figure or a new repaint. I bought him anyway ;) I also saw 2 FOV shermans at a Target and left them for someone else, but other than that I just bought the last 4 Germans with the suntan look at a WM and the last 4 FOV soldiers at that Target.

Now I hear about some new 21st guys that just came out.
Anyone have these and have pictures of them ??? I guess there is 2 Americans and a German.

One of the Targets in my AO just restocked the FOV Germans, both green and camo. 6 pegs full with a few US troops in the mix but not many. Now if they know Germans sell why not bring back the Tiger I earlier than this fall? For us in the East it would be a first time thing...... they never showed here.

They have plenty at the Woodbury target. I just purchased several of them this morning.

I haven't bought any in quite awhile(modern) because I can't find them.
But I use the heads off of them for customs and trade away the bodies and gear ;) Da General

BTW wouldn't be nice if FOV added to both the modern and WWII lines to give use 6 more figures with new head sculpts for a total of 12 new heads on bodies with different ranked uniforms :P 8)

That would be nice, and I bet it will eventually happen.

Funny little story regarding the FOV figures:

When the modern figures were first out last fall, I bought a bunch of all of them, but not really enough of the US Army figures (in the green cammo). Then, only after the Modern figures had warmed on the pegs and eventually all sold did I want to get some more

Ebay and Foxhole toys were really out of the question as I would pay too much for the figures. Then, today I go into a couple different Target stores and, lo and behold, they had both restocked a set of the modern figures! I got all the Army figures I currently needed, plus a few extras to keep carded until the Stryker comes out (assuming the vehicle will have a troop compartment...)

So, I didn't find anything new, but getting a figure restock right when desired never felt so good 8)

Nice find, I'll have to check out my target to see if they finally restocked.

I stopped by my local Target yesterday to find that they had restocked on figures and actually had the Sherman for the first time.

I've managed to finally get Shermans myself. Well, the camo one anyway. Nice paintjob on it... Wish we had Tigers now.

Anyway, in other Target news...

Play taps for the $5 Target coupons... They're officially dead. Every Target was sent a letter about the Target coupons we all know and love, and basically they found people abusing it (gee, no crap!). Unfortunately some were photoshopping out the "Toy" part and using it for anything in the store which sucks as that appears to be what "gave it away" and why now the coupons are void. As of Wednesday, every Target store should have something taped up above the register area regarding the coupon... My store did I noticed.

Basically... It was fun while it lasted. I used mine to get most of my IJ figures and I picked up a number of Star Wars exclusives and some FOV figures too. Got a free FOV figure the other day actually.

Anyway, yeah, it sucks, but hey it wasn't technically something that was allowed in the first place so cherish the time/use you got out of the Target coupons while you did. Hopefully they'll screw up again like that because, well, that was just some damn good fun. Especially considering Target is as collector-friendly as a super model convention would be.

Thanks for the heads up Jesse. From what I've gathered at other forums regarding the coupon, Target pulled the plug on Monday, June 30th, as I was able to make a clean final detonation a day before. I doubt we will get anything like this again in the future.

The WWII U.S. and German soldiers are restocked all over the area, and Modern U.S. Soldiers and Marines are returning back on the pegs but they are all now at a new price..... $5.19.
Not sure if this is only in certain areas I'll have to do more recon over the weekend to know for sure.
Maybe we will see the Abrams and Tigers return in a few months hopefully to coincide with the probable 3rd/4th Quarter release of the Stryker.

My target has also restocked the modern figures, They had a full set of Marines and Army guys. Maybe they took forever to restock in order to improve there digital pattern. I noticed these are a lot more better looking than the first ones I got a few months ago. 8)

Yeah, the price at my target also increased, oh well, only 20 more cents.

It was fun while it lasted with the coupon, that is for sure. :P I don't know if I should be ashamed of all the money I spent or proud of what I saved.

I too picked up a bunch of modern FOV, on 6/30 with the coupon and they did seem to have improved paint.

Aferg, seeing as Razor set us all up with these coupons maybe we can reward him with a special title on above his avatar in tribute? "Coupon Procurer?"

Razor, I don't go to sites like that and require kind members like you to feed me the good stuff! I bet if you got 10% of the savings all of us received from your tip you'd be a rich man. You could buy a new house or a half tank of gas... :D

Thanks again!

Did some more recon, I noticed that the Shermans are now $21.99. The new price should also apply to the Bradleys if there are any still out there.
I'm guessing if the Abrams and Tigers return they will probably be at $32.99, probably the Stryker at that price too depending on it's size.
