The Dauntless is lumbering slowly like a TBD Devastator.
We all know what happened to the Devastator.

Shoot, I am just glad to know that someone somewhere has plans of new 1/18. If necessary I will wait another year for this. Come to think of it, I probably will!

Yeah mine's on order too. Just the fact that someone would do such a unique and important plane blows me away. I will wait patiently. However long it takes.
I was refering to the Battle of Midway where if the slow Torpedo bombers hadn't been on the deck keeping the Zeroes busy and lost every plane, the Dauntless squadron might not have had their greatest moment in history. Just wondering if anybody knew about the ill-fated but brave Torpedo 8 Devastator Squadron.
I'm so happy Admiral is doing the Dauntless in 1942 Midway colors.

Just ended a business trip at Chicago's Midway airport. The Battle of Midway display is amazing an the 1:1 Dauntless hanging overhead is impressive

I work and therefore pretty much live at the Midway airport and have literally walked into people staring up at our amazing Dauntless in the "A" concourse, I was even lucky enough to fuel up a P-51, S-3 Viking AH-1 Cobra and an F-18 all in the same day.

I'm still going to get a few of them. An extra five bucks makes no difference to me.

I wish I could collect both scales. Just imagining having both a 1:18th and a 1:32 SBD makes me salivate... but alas, only when I am enveloped in cash...
