If Dman can tell us he wants the board to devote all posts to figs and Tiger tanks? I demand the board devote all posts to 1/18 American half-tracks and quad .50 AA guns.

To me, that is a very reasonable demand....... heck, you can throw in a post about some new Sherman tank..... See how reasonable I am?

Really, anything but those figs, and endless German tanks....

Yeah maybe all this military stuff is overrated. Toys and models are for the birds-I think I will just throw that junk away.
What in the heck is going on here? Who is this dandaman anyway? Perhaps we do need to isolate him. Let's start an intervention

It's time for ther-rape-me

(What we called it in the looney bin!)

Intervention comes with a price...

That price is 10 cents for a latex glove.

The pain is on the house.

Hmmm, guess an asbestos suit would be best to be worn on this thread  A quick bit of advice, if you don't want to read about a PLANE thread, then DON'T click on it ;) There's plenty of Armour threads to read up on. Check customs forum, LOTS of projects to view and perhaps try to build yourself - that'll keep ya busy, works for me 8) Da General

I wasn't aware of that. :D
In the fall of 1944, only seven per cent of all bombs dropped by the Eighth Air Force hit within 1,000ft of their aim point; even a fighter-bomber in a 40 degree dive releasing a bomb at 7,000 ft could have a circular error (CEP) of as much as 1,000 ft. It took 108 B-17 bombers, crewed by 1,080 airmen, dropping 648 bombs to guarantee a 96 per cent chance of getting just two hits inside a 400 by 500 ft area (a German power-generation plant.) Maybe this will help to better illustrate what I'm talking about. For reference purposes 1000 feet is roughly equal to one-fifth of a mile.

Thank you professor, :D I was kidding, obviously bombing accuracy is much better now then it was 64 years ago. Thank you for trying to dumb things down for me but I've heard these facts before, I read books too.

It was just a comment made about dropping a bomb on a tank, but thanks again for the history lesson :D :D

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if armor and aircraft were separated, and possibly even figures.

The approach I use to browsing what's new is to use the "View posts since last visit" link on the main page. As long as people put meaningful titles on the original postings (and stick to the theme of the thread!), it's easy enough to skip the ones you don't care to read.

Hope that helps!
