The new wave is out in my area KY/TN I saw The Grail Knight, Young Indy, Indy with MP-40, Colonel Vogel, Dr. Elsa Schneider and Dr Henry Jones. All great looking figures.

Clarification

I don't think I properly conveyed what I wanted to say. It's not that I'm looking for figures to buy from someone...it's that I'm trying to find someone who can relate to what I'm going through right now. I'm thinking along the lines of a support group.

For example, when you walk into a Wal-Mart and walk past the Indy aisle, do you get the urge to clear the pegs by scraping all the figures into your basket? Do you have the urge to buy even the Mutt Williams figures?

There's something so cool about Indiana Jones figures. I can't put my finger on it. I used to collect GI Joes and Star Wars figures...and of course military figures of every kind...but I never got the urge to buy every single figure in one setting. That is, until Indiana Jones figures came out. And especially after I saw IJ4. I was pumped.

Is there anybody out there like me? I want to make sure I'm not the only one. Who in this forum owns the whole set? Vehicles, dual packs, and all? This is the person I need to commiserate with. Are you out there?!?

I'm not after buying the whole product range of the IJ figures and have only gotten the ones that I like, including multiples of the German and Russian soldiers.

I do agree with you that there is something about the appeal of this line that the Star Wars and GI Joe just don't quite have. Perhaps it is the realism of the figures and the ordinary nature of them. There's nothing in the line that's really overly fantastic or funky (except maybe that crystal alien skeleton) and that to me is a plus. After all, how often can you say that you picked up an action figure set made by Hasbro that included an archaeologist figure with an ancient Jewish holy relic?

I was just like you. I did the same thing. I started off with the Russian and German soldiers. I was cool with that for a while. But there is something about walking down that Wal-Mart aisle and seeing that wall of other figures that you don't have yet. Questions arise in your mind like, "How long will they still be there? They're not going to be here forever!" Over the weeks, you pass the aisle again and again. "How much longer will they be there? Should I pick some more up? The Irina figure really isn't that bad. It even comes with a crystal skull relic. And what about the Belloq figure? He could be customized rather easily to be a proper high priest in an ark diorama. And what about that Indiana w/horse combo? The horse is pretty well done I have to admit. Do I need another German motorcycle? I definitely need another truck. And what about this jungle cutter? What is that all about?"

You see where I'm going with this? It's an obsession.

Speaking of the crystal alien skeleton, how can you not send away for the exclusive figure? And if you send away for one, why not collect enough stickers to send away for twelve more? You know, so you can recreate the final scene in IJ4?

Obsession!!!

The old figures are weak compared to the new ones.

Little by little I will have all the 1/18 scaled figures of this line. I really like them. It is a nice bonus that most of the Relics that come with them are 1/6 scale and will be perfect with my Sideshow indy and all my other 1/6 scale stuff.

Found part of the new wave at the Visalia, CA Wal mart today. They had six new figures, consisting of two each of the Grail Knight, Indy with MP-40 and Young Boy Scout Indy. I got the Boy Scout and Knight. They were in an aisle display with over 100 other figures, all the rest being from the first wave. No Vogel or Dr. Jones Sr. figures to be had, but I'm sure I'll see them somewhere eventually

The only one I have found is the young IJ. I am sure the others will follow as all the S1 are easy to be found up here.

Now, I just need to find the German staff car. :?

  • *The Thot henchmen from the Nepal bar scene
  • *The German airplane mechanic
  • *Belloq in jungle outfit with pith helmet or in summer white outfit
  • *Captain Katanga (is it?) from the ship who hands over Marion
  • *Marion in Belloq's "gift" dress
From Temple
  • *That guy with the tommygun at the beginning of the film
  • *The old guy from the Indian village
  • *The young kid who attacks Short Round
  • *The Indian riflemen who gun down the baddies at the very end of the film
  • *Sacrificial man with removable heart
From Crusade
  • *The guy with the fez cap
  • *Marcus Brody with confused look and cap in hand
  • *The German woman who announces Indy's presence in the castle
  • *The sacrificial man with removable head
  • *Old/aging Donovan
  • *Hitler from the book signing scene
To name a few...

You have to be joking?

They realized the first truck was selling so well, they released one with a fabric canopy?

Is this for real?!?

As Jesse James has mentioned before, Hasbro does listen to collectors and I know many of us wanted a fabric canopy :D
