Got him. His uniform is very bright white, I much prefer they had made the black uniform instead, the armband is totally black too... I'll have to fix the armband later.

Btw, there's a vague outlined circle in the middle of the armband where the swastika should be at...

A Super Center Wal-Mart.
Vogel, Elsa, and Dr. Jones only had one copy each at that store.

Cool! New IJ figures, and a bit sooner than expected. I'm glad to hear they are on the west coast as at least I have a fleeting chance of finding them. I will have to see what the weekend brings

I believe all the "Last Crusade" sightings have been at Wal Marts thus far.

Don't think they've worked their way out at other retailers.

Here's hoping...

I found 2 Vogels during my lunch break in the Walmart outside Ft. Campbell, KY. They are hitting go get Em'

Also here is a interesting fact about the rank of this character.

At one point during the film, Elsa Schneider addressed Vogel as "Herr Oberst"; Oberst is a rank in the Wehrmacht, and Vogel was a member of the SS, which had its own system of ranks. Vogel would have been properly addressed as "Herr Standartenführer". This confusion on the screenwriters' part, was made perhaps because both the Army rank of Oberst and the SS rank of Standartenführer represent the rank of Colonel (the American/British equivalent of Vogel's rank).

I found another 2 Vogels in another Walmart. It appears each assortment only has one per case and each store is getting 2 cases.

Wave 3 is really good can't wait for 4.

Cool Toy Review: Will the hidden relics hidden inside the crates continue on into 2009? We love the added element of both the relic itself, and the crate it comes in is a nice way to build up Area 51 scenes.

Hasbro: The relics will end with Wave 4 this year, and will be replaced by figure bases for all of the new figures in 2009.

Cool Toy Review: For the Ultra Titanium Series fans: will Indy take a risk on die-cast vehicles in this scale?

Hasbro: We will not be developing any Ultra vehicles for IJ. We suspect that the IJ line will not have quite as many followers as the pretty expansive Star Wars Titanium line, who in turn were not enough to sustain the very expensive Ultra line. So we'll just concentrate on the main assortment.

Maybe it was confusion on Elsa's part.

As an Austrian archaeologist, she might not have been up to date on German/Nazi ranking terminology. :D

On a 40 mile road trip to a town south of me (Visalia, for those in California), I got lucky and found part of the new wave of IJ figures, including the Grail Knight, Indy with MP-40 and my favorite, the Boy Scout Indy figure. Being an Eagle Scout, I find the fact that Hasbro essentially made a Boy Scout action figure rather touching and the uniform is largely accurate.

They were in a big asile display with a ton of other Indy figures, save that all the rest of the figures were from the first wave. After looking through well over 100 action figures in the display, there were no Col. Vogel, Dr. Jones Sr., or Elsa Schneider figures to be had. Now to wait...

Young Indy Figure

Post by dandaman » Sun Jun 22, 2008 3:04 pm

What are the possibilities for customizing the Young Indy figure?

(I actually know the answer to this question. I'm just waiting for someone to say it. It's so obvious it's not funny.)

I was thinking of finding another, swapping the head with a Mutt Williams figure, and making my own little Scout patrol. Heck with the PTE campfire set, I've got everything else I need

Vogel and Elisa figures :x I did get the grail knight though :) Someone said Titusville, but they have NO new wave figures :x Well, I'll check a few other WM tomorrow - EARLY like about 5 AM and see if my luck changes ;) I did preorder one each of the above figures, but need more for customs :P Da General

Are they getting rid of the older waves to make room for the new ones?

All the wallys here in Columbus never change thier stock. The one in Hilliard has pegs full of platoon figs and one German officer thats been there for a year. Nothing new at all....I HATE that wallys :x . Unfortunately its the closest place around for getting my fix. I'm going to be a rebel and go to a different walmart next weekend. Maybe TRU also and hopefully the new wave of figs will reach full dist soon. :?
