They make an Apache in 1:32, and a NYPD Huey and Coast Guard Stingray (looks like a Dauphin) in 1:48. They screw and snap together, and a small Phillips screwdriver is provided with each kit. No glueing or painting! My fine motor skills leave much to be desired, but I managed to put these together fairly quickly. Look for 'em in your neighborhood, boys and gal(?).

Here in beautiful downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas, we have a nice store called Hobby Lobby (I think it's a chain of stores). In it I found a series of pre-painted diecast helicopter kits by Testors.

Yeah those are pretty cool, they also do a 1/48 P-51D, 1/72 Hornet, and a 1/72 F-117. They're actually made by New Ray that are marketed by Testors. You can buy the built versions from New Ray..
