New project, 1/18th 20mm Flak project

Post by General Blasto » Mon May 12, 2008 2:15 am

I had to take a break from backgrounds for a bit when I got this great idea to make an AA unit. Just the starting point, but better than the last attempt ;) Still working on the "shield" to go on the front of the gun turret, when ready, I will remove the one already on the US one.

I still have some work to do on the receiver part of the cannons and have to make the 20 round banana type magazines for the cannons and extras for the ammo boxes as well, but I think I'm off to a good start 8) Da General

Hey Gary,
It's the new Indiana Jones truck that just came out ;) Just without the top. General Blasto

ps. I forgot to mention, the cannons are the ones from off of the 21st C Hanomag with the cannon and bridge parts. The mount and turret is off of the 21st C M-17 US quad 50 cal. trailer :)

The truck looks good with the luggage rack removed. It makes it look more military. To me the luggage rack gave it the look of a civilian truck. Kinda like the ones you see pictures of in third world countries traversing some jungle or mountain trail overloaded with people, goats and chickens and with a mountain of luggage strapped to the top of the cab. Hey! There's an idea for a custom! A refugee truck!
