21st Defeat in east-Kursk set question

Post by mikeg » Wed May 07, 2008 4:37 am

I've noticed up to this point I've only seen the panther in this set, a few days ago, I saw one with a king tiger that had a new color scheme- I ignored it- but now realized with more money in my pocket and a couple of days to think about it, I'll porbably have to get it, has anyone else seen this- or is this old news.

The Porsche turret KT came in a different playset that was out six months ago or so; I haven't seen one in a while. If it is in a Kursk box it must have either been a mistake or they are cleaning up loose ends...

The Kursk-Defeat In The East playset comes with a Panther. If there's a KT in there then somebody pulled a fast one. I have the set and it is a very nice Panther plus the Russians are top notch. Here is an Ebay link to the set....

Yeah, this could be a case of the old switcheroo. After spotting a similar "swap out" a while back, I look very carefully at every 21C product I buy off the shelf. Part of the problem here is that the zit faced teenagers that work the returns counter at WM or TRU stores wouldn't know the difference between a Kingtiger and a Jeep, far less a KT and a Panther, so unscrupulous people can get away with this tactic with little fear of getting caught. :x

Like most of us, I'm no novice at this- I'll stop by again, open the box, check it out, If I deem the tank to be legit, maybe misboxed, I'll buy it.
I've ranted about BS returns before, but we will see upon closer inspection-
